Diva, Fashionista, Fabulous & Resplendent are words that are used to describe Carrie Rice. For over 30 years she has worked in the fashion industry from retail sales for Macy’s to an Assistant Manager for The Answer (Charming Shoppes). Styling customers was her specialty! If you had a body, she styled it!!!

She studied Business Administration at Nassau Community College where she received her Associates of Science degree. She continued her studies at SUNY Old Westbury.

In 2006, Carrie opened her own clothing boutique; Carrie’s Closet in Lynbrook, NY and her headquarters are now located in Baltimore, MD. She is presently celebrating her 13th Anniversary as an entrepreneur! In 2013, she launched her own clothing line, “Fresh Anointings” in New York and Atlanta! In 2014, she was featured and later joined Trendsetter to Trendsetter Magazine as a Contributing Writer.

In 2015, Carrie gave birth to Carrie’s Couture, a Fashion & Home Styling Division of Carrie’s Closet. She specializes in both virtual and in-person styling on a regular basis. She has clients nationwide that call in for styling tips and ideas for everything from the Red Carpet to Pageantry to CD covers to Off Broadway performances. Carrie is extremely passionate about her gifts! Her extensive knowledge and passion for fashion is simply incredible!

On September 17, 2016, Carrie was a featured designer at Curvy Revolution NYFW. She also was a Fashion Panelist for the evening.

On October 1, 2016 she debuted her “Carrie’s Couture Presents Styling 101 by Carrie Rice” at Ripley Grier Studios in NYC! It was a MUST go to fashion styling workshop for the “Fashionista in YOU!” 

Carrie was the Official Designer/Stylist for the Broadway debut of “Strength of a Woman: A Phyllis Hyman Tribute on September 20, 2017 at the Jerry Orbach Theater.

On March 24,2018, Carrie had her styling debut for the “Spring Soiree in Harlem” at Ashley Stewart’s Harlem Flagship Store.

On March 29, 2018 Carrie’s styling tips were featured in the New York Amsterdam News by Renee Minus White, Fashion & Beauty Editor.

In June 2018, Carrie wrote and published “Don’t Wait Another Minute To Be Fabulous!! A Styling Guide To Fabulousity.

On July 21, 2018, Carrie debuted her “Don’t Wait Another Minute To Be Fabulous Styling Workshop in Baltimore, MD.

On Saturday, September 22, 2018, Carrie received the Black Women Rock award.

In October 2018, Carrie was nominated DMV Author of The Year and Woman of Inspiration by ACHI Magazine.

On April 13, 2019 Carrie facilitated her “Don’t Wait Another Minute To Be Fabulous” styling workshop at Enoch Pratt Library‘s Gormans branch.

On May 18, 2019 Carrie facilitated a vision board workshop at Enoch Pratt Library’s Canton branch.

On September 12, 2019 Carrie facilitated her “Intimately You” workshop at Enoch Pratt Library.
